as-Salamy Aleikom Umm Layth

No need for apologies dear ukhti. We all get busy sometimes and it becomes hard to find the time to call or email, I understand. I would love it if I can set up a site for the sisters fee sabeel Allah, and in shaa Allah I should be able to put something together pretty quickly.

It would be great if we can email or maybe chat on paltalk to exchange some ideas sister.

... as for the strength that you miss. I think that ackowledging our shortcomings is a definite sign of strength of faith, may Allah bless you dear sister. Feel free to share any specifics that you would like to talk about, maybe we can both learn from each other. I went through a similar phase where I felt that my iman took a dip specially during my first couple of years in college, but el Hamdu le Allah, I feel that my faith is slowly growing stronger. May Allah guide us all to al sirat al mustaqim, ameen.

aameen wa jazaaki Allaahu khairan

I'm sorry I haven't yet emailed you about the site info sister. One thing you may come to find out about me is that I suck at emailing/calling people. Sigh! Make du`aa' for me, insha'Allaah.

... It is definitely a period of change. I just miss the stronger Umm Layth I remember. I wish I could combine the strength I used to have (during my early reversion to the deen), with some of the changes I've made now.

Umm Layth,

Great blog! I found it through the Unique Muslimah blog that you pointed me to, jazzaki Allaho khairan. Although sister Unique Muslimah appears to be a little bit more liberal than I'd like to be, Allah knows best. Your blog is definitely more in tune with my beliefs.

As for your post: it appears to me that you're going through a period of change and self exploration. May Allah guide you to the right path. I think it's perfectly normal to miss some of our old selves, and if the things that you miss have the potential of making you even a better muslima, then why not bring them back into your life?
